Europe, located in Kefalonia,
becomes the ideal background

A romantic promenade where you’ll see
many fishermen, couples in love, groups of
friends with a guitar, aspiring “chanteurs
d’amour” singing cantadas, or even
Caretta Caretta turtles, since they tend to
follow the fish boats. Bridge De Bosset or
“Thevossetou” or for the locals the “Pontes”
is extended in 689.9 m. in length and still
has the title of the biggest stone bridge on
a seawater body in the whole planet. It was
constructed during the British Rule of the
Ionian islands. The purpose was to connect
the commercial center of Argostoli with the
other’s side coast and main Kefalonia. When
you arrive in Argostoli you’ll definitely
admire the majestic marble obelisk rising
from the sea, a monument raised as a symbol
of gratitude to Great Britain. Μια ρομαντική

με κιθάρα, επίδοξους κανταδόρους,
ενίοτε και χελώνες Καρέτα καρέτα, καθώς
κολυμπούν πίσω από τα ψαροκάικα. Η
Γέφυρα Ντε Μποσέ ή Δεβοσέτου ή για
τους ντόπιους ο «Πόντες» απλώνεται στα
689,9 μ. μήκος και διατηρεί τον τίτλο της
μεγαλύτερης λίθινης γέφυρας πάνω από τη
θάλασσα στον πλανήτη. Κατασκευάστηκε
κατά τη διάρκεια της βρετανικής
κηδεμονίας των νησιών του Ιονίου (1809-
1864), για να συνδέσει το εμπορικό κέντρο
του Αργοστολίου με την απέναντι ακτή
και την ηπειρωτική Κεφαλονιά. Κατά την
άφιξή σας στο Αργοστόλι, θα θαυμάσετε
τον μεγαλοπρεπή μαρμάρινο οβελίσκο να
αναδύεται από τη θάλασσα, μνημείο που
χτίστηκε ως σύμβολο ευγνωμοσύνης του
Κεφαλονίτικου Κοινοβουλίου προς τη
Μεγάλη Βρετανία.
